This article seeks to understand how big data analytics (BDA) capabilities generate benefits for healthcare organizations by facilitating IT-enabled transformation practices.

The results show that BDA capabilities mainly support evidence-based medicine, followed by meaningful use of EHR, network knowledge creation, clinical resource integration, multidisciplinary practice, network collaborations, and personalized care.
